Destiny 2: Season of the Wish Launch Update

Bungie recently launched Season of the Wish in Destiny 2 and has been actively listening to player feedback. Here are some key points from their latest communication:

  1. Starter Pack Removed: The Starter Pack, not well-received by players, has been pulled from stores. Bungie acknowledges the community’s concerns and aims to prioritize other aspects of the game for new players.
  2. Blind Well Adjustments: Responding to player dissatisfaction with the Blind Well requirement in the first week’s story, Bungie will now only ask players to return in Week 6, making it an opt-in activity for the rest of the season.
  3. Riven’s Lair and The Coil: The team appreciates the positive feedback on The Coil and Riven’s Lair. They are addressing shard economy issues and have already fixed a loot distribution problem in Riven’s Lair.
  4. PvP Changes: Bungie’s PvP Strike team has implemented updates, addressing concerns about Checkmate and its impact on the Crucible. Control will be selectable during Checkmate, and adjustments to ability cooldowns and weapon tuning are underway.
  5. Iron Banner Update: Iron Banner introduces the new Tribute mode, and Lord Saladin will sell armor ornaments from Years 1 and 2. The Iron Symmachy set returns as the base set.
  6. New Rocket Sidearm: A new Rocket Sidearm archetype will be introduced in the Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon, offering players an alternative to counter Barrier Champions.
  7. Fireteam Finder: Fireteam Finder Beta, launching this season, aims to enhance the matchmaking experience. A Raid Stress Test is also scheduled.

Bungie expresses excitement for the Fireteam Finder Beta and looks forward to a full feature launch in late January.
